My fellow writer and friend known to me as Zerrakhi and on his blog as Flesh-Eating Dragon, invited me to participate in BookMash. I’ll let him explain:

Essentially, the idea is to arrange two or more books so that the titles, when read in the order they appear, make sense (or at least coherent nonsense) as a collective. As a form of amusement it can accomodate a variety of approaches: some might think of it as a form of poetry, others primarily as a form of humour. If you have some books, a digital camera, a blog, and the inclination to put them all together, you really should have a go.

So, here I am jumping on the bandwagon.

“Island of the Blue Dolphins Crushed On the Far Side of the Mountain”

Sounds like a newspaper headline..

How’s this?
“James and the Giant Peach Flipped The Mouse and the Motorcycle Because of Winn Dixie”

Revenge?? That kind of cracks me up.. not the revenge, but the way the titles flow.

Or how about more action?

“The Mouse and the Motorcycle Catching Fire Out of the Dust”

Woohoo! Go Speedy! I think he has a gas leak or he works for Hollywood Special Effects!

This was a lot of fun! Join in! Link your BookMash to me, or OuterHoard.

Raises a few questions, like how do you use a peach to flip a motorcycle? (It's spherical, not much leverage…)(Speaking of which, James and the Giant Peach is the only one of these books that I've actually read. And that was a long time ago.)Good to see that you had fun with this! 🙂

Well, you bowl it at the oncoming motorcycle so that they exchange energy, the turn of the wheel flipping the rider, you know like when motocross bike collide with hay bales on the track..
